Dear Officials.

We would like to wish you and your families good health, happiness, and prosperity for this New Year.

Thank you for all you have done for the BCL in the past year, I am sure that our team will grow during 2022. The start of our growth is in front of us, with the start of the Road to the Final 4 coming in the next two days.

Dear Referees.

All over the world the major concern remains C-19. Within our job also, we have already started to replace individuals on some games. Our new reality is C-19 infected officials, and ultra-last-minute replacements. Over the remainder of the season this will probably return to be our normal.

Simply as human beings, we must protect ourselves and our families, we need to take every precaution possible to stay safe and healthy. As officials we must try to keep ourselves ready to travel. I must emphasize this even more for our stand-by officials, I can see you being used much more regularly over the next few months

From the technical aspects of our job, we should always provide the best possible service for our customers. The second stage of the BCL Competition will be full of exciting games with our best teams continuing in the competition. So, I remind you to expect the expected. Expect great close games, expect tough hard-fought competition, expect pressure, and expect high emotion. For us as referees, this must be a great motivator, and knowing that when we step onto the floor we are well prepared through our fitness and our scouting, ready as a Team through our pre-game meeting, our respect and our friendship, and confident in our ability to deliver the highest level of officiating in every game.

Tomorrow, Tuesday Jan 04th, will start a new chapter in the BCL book, the first blank page of 2022. Let's go write a good one.
